常規(guī)單詞積累一定要集中在2016考研英語(yǔ)復(fù)習(xí)的前期，否則到了復(fù)習(xí)后期無(wú)論是2016考研英語(yǔ)閱讀的復(fù)習(xí)還是翻譯的復(fù)習(xí)，都會(huì)遇到困難。同時(shí)，單詞記憶不能只記中文釋義，要掌握其常見(jiàn)用法、固定搭配，并且在能力范圍內(nèi)利用詞根觸類(lèi)旁通。2016考研英語(yǔ)對(duì)于詞匯的考查主要體現(xiàn)在考生“同義替換”的能力上，也就是考查考生對(duì)于語(yǔ)言多樣性的把握，所以考生在背單詞的時(shí)候一定要掌握單詞的同義詞。

speculate

vi.思索;推測(cè) v.投機(jī);思索，推測(cè)

【例】The IMF is encouraging people to speculate with other people’s money.國(guó)際貨幣基金組織鼓勵(lì)人們用別人的錢(qián)做投機(jī)買(mǎi)賣(mài)。

【同義替換】ponder, reflect; guess, conjecture, assume

【派生】speculative a.思索的;投機(jī)的 speculation n.思索，投機(jī)

【真題】But Dr. Uri Simonsohn speculated that an inability to consider the big picture was leading decision makers to be biased by the daily samples of information they were working with.

proclaim

v.宣告;表明

【例】His accent proclaimed him a Scot.他的口音表明他是蘇格蘭人。

【構(gòu)詞】pro-(前)+ claim(呼喊)→在前面大叫→宣告，表明

【同義替換】declare, announce, pronounce; indicate, demonstrate, manifest

【派生】proclamation n.宣布;表明

【例】Moreover, to Hitler’s mind the sparse applause did not do justice to the brilliant performance.此外，希特勒認(rèn)為，這樣精彩的演出只博得稀稀拉拉的掌聲是不公平的。

【同義替換】bright, intelligent, outstanding

【派生】brilliantly ad.輝煌地，燦爛地

【例】The changes that have taken place in air travel during the last sixty years would have seemed completely impossible to even the most brilliant scientist at the turn of the 19th century.
